DAY 01 [22/12/24] – Depart Manchester

Car parking: JetParks 3, (22 Dec 2024 12:00 – 31 Dec 2024 22:00)

Fly at 17:15 from Manchester to Casablanca arriving at 21:35 in T2, leaving at 23:15 in T1 to arrive at Lome 02:40 the next day.

DAY 02 [23/12/24] – Arrive in Lome

NOMADS hotel – night 2/3

Arrive in Lome at 02:40, where NOMADS hotel will pick us up from the airport. We have not paid the reservation, but it should cost £180ish and we agreed to pay for the night before arrival so that we can check in immediately. Address: Rue 176 AFG, Lomé, Togo | Phone: +228 70 00 86 62.

We do have breakfast at the hotel so we could get up to enjoy a quick bite, but then we should relax for as long as needed before exploring some of Lome.

Palais De Lomé looks beautiful and could be worth a visit.

DAY 03 [24/12/24] – Explore Lome

NOMADS hotel – night 3/3

We have a tour booked with Alfredo Tao.

He will take us to see:

• Fetish Market

• Great Marche of Lome

• Independence Monument

• International Museum of the Gulf of Guinea

• Marcelo Beach

• Artisanal Village

DAY 04 [25/12/24] – Cross Border to Accra

Stylish Studio @ Embassy Gardens – night 1/1

Get up at 9ish and head to the border. It shouldn’t take too long, but they might try and extort some money from us so we should be as firm as possible whilst still friendly. Our tour guide for the day, Eric, will meet us across the border and take us on a great tour of 

• An estuary at Ada Foah

• Nkyinkyim Museum

Spend the afternoon exploring Accra, some interesting sights are:

• Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Mausoleum

• Independence Square

• National Museum of Ghana

• Jamestown

• Makola Market

• Labadi Beach

DAY 05 [26/12/24] – Fly to Tamale

Zaina Lodge – night 1/3

No transfer to the airport booked – see if the same guy will take us or can recommend a taxi.

Flight from Accra at 6:30 (AW160) 23kg luggage plus 5kg carry on and a personal item and arrive at Tamale at 7:30. 

Grassroots Tours will meet us at the airport to start our tour.

Drive to Mole National Park and check in to Zaina Lodge

Afternoon game drive in Mole National Park to see elephants, antelopes, baboons, warthogs, and other wildlife

Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge/hotel

DAY 06 [27/12/24] – Safari Day

Zaina Lodge – night 2/3

Morning walking safari with an experienced guide to explore the savannah and spot animals on foot

Lunch at the lodge/hotel

Afternoon village visit to explore the culture and traditions of the local communities at Mognori eco-village

Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge/hotel

DAY 06 [28/12/24] – Safari Day

Zaina Lodge – night 3/3

Breakfast at the lodge

Drive to Wechiau Hippo Sanctuary

Canoe safari to spot hippos, crocodiles, birds, and other aquatic life on the Black Volta River

DAY 06 [29/12/24] – Fly to Accra

Accra Airbnb – night 1/1

Morning guided walk through the savannah and along the river to spot different species of birds and primates + breakfast at the lodge.

Drive back to Tamale and depart – see if we can visit Laribanga mosque which is on the way

Flight from Tamale airport at 17:30 (AW181) 23kg luggage plus 5kg carry on and a personal item.

Erico will take us back to the Aflao border today, then we need to catch a taxi to NOMADS hotel. We can be flexible with the time.

Leave Lome at 05:20.
