26/12/2014 – Borneo, Malaysia – Visiting Semenggoh
Boxing Day 2014, we had just arrived at Semenggoh wildlife centre in Sarawak after a short but very wet drive from Kuching.
On exiting the car I took part in a favourite British pastime of commenting on the weather to our helpful guide, Ham.
Ham, along with being very tired on our trip didn’t quite hear me properly. I had said I couldn’t believe how hard it rains and he proceeded to give a very long anecdote about cats climbing into car engines, sitting under car wheels and meeting untimely demises.
Reflecting back now I sincerely hope he did mishear me and that he wasn’t telling us about something he had spotted on our car.
