About Us

We were both born in Derby in the same hospital in 1993, just two days apart. We met again 17 years later as a ‘random add’ on Facebook and quickly fell for each other.

We finished our A Levels and went straight into work, before completing our degrees through the Open University to help us grow our careers and follow our dreams.

Now, 15 years later, we are both working professionals in the rail industry making travel a part time thing for us, however we do make the most of our annual leave each year to ensure we fill as much time as possible doing the things we love with each other.

Since our first trip in 2013 we have spent 448 days either in the air or in other countries.

Our travel style is only consistent in one sense – we don’t spend too long in one place – everything else is completely dependent on what we fancy doing for a particular trip.

Some of our plans are heavily detailed travel itineraries: identifying the best places to eat, the times we should visit attractions, and all manner of useful information. On others, we’re happy to wing it, booking accommodation as we go and finding the most convenient food we can, purely to sustain ourselves. You’ll also find we have action-packed adventures (guided or not) contrasted with lazy holidays featuring simple excursions to make the most of our time.

As of October 2025, we have completed:

16 package holidays over 136 days.

10 self tours and adventures over 104 days.

10 weekends trips over 24 days.

5 private tours over 106 days.

5 group tours over 57 days.

We have stayed in approximately 200 hotels, driven in 19 countries and have flights booked to (at least) 5 more countries over the next few months.
